Public Liability (PL)

Public Liability insurance is the minimum amount of cover that anyone in business should carry. It can be purchased in conjunction with Employers Liability or in isolation.

PL protects you whilst you go about your daily business, from welcoming people on to your premises to while you are out and about meeting people.

It protects you if, in the course of your work you either (a) cause someone bodily injury and/or (b) you damage their property. It really is that simple!

The most common level of cover that people take tends to be either £2,000,000 or £5,000,000 but we can of course offer a lower limit of £1,000,000 or limits of up to £20,000,000 where required.

To provide a quotation we will need some background information about your business, which limit of cover you require and your estimated turnover for the coming year.

Employers Liability (EL)

Employers Liability cover is there to protect the employees rather than the employer. UK law stipulates that anyone carrying the cover should have a limit of at least £5,000,000 but Insurers always provide a limit of £10,000,000 – the only exception to the rule is for those hardy souls working offshore.
